In a new promo of 'Bigg Boss 17', Jigna Vora is seen giving a press conference. She recalls the time she spent in jail.
‘Bigg Boss 17′ had a grand premiere on October 15. Salman Khan has returned as the host this time as well. In a new promo of BB 17, Jigna Vora is seen giving a press conference where she talks about her horrifying experience in jail. Jigna is a former Indian journalist who was falsely accused of having a connection in the murder of journalist Jyotirmoy Dey, and was booked under MCOCA. Her biographical memoir ‘Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison’ inspired the 2023 Netflix series ‘Scoop’.
In the new promo of ‘Bigg Boss 17’, Bigg Boss informs everyone that for the first time, only one contestant will be giving the press conference. Jigna Vora then takes the stage where she answers everyone’s questions. When a journalist asks her if she is upset with the media, Jigna replies that she is.
Another journalist asks her about her days in the jail and what is something she can never forget. Jigna says, “It was when my son had come to meet me in jail. He told me, ‘mumma tu ye sab kar hi nahi sakti’. From that day on, I knew I didn’t have to prove anyone anything.”
Jigna added, “When I was in custody, my nana was 90 years old. He came to meet me in jail once to give me clothes. He was going back and walking with a stick when a very known journalist kept taking his video. It was very humiliating.”
Hearing her experience, Munawar Faruqui couldn’t stop his tears. He kept crying. For the uninitiated, the stand-up comedian was arrested in 2021 for allegedly hurting religious sentiments on his show.
The promo was captioned, “Jinke naam par aksar likhi gayi hai history, jaaniye Bigg Boss ki press-con mein aaj unki story. Dekhiye #BiggBoss17, Mon-Fri 10PM & Sat-Sun 9PM sirf #Colors aur @officialjiocinema par (sic).”
